As some of you know, I attended 'Cirque de la Mode' on Thursday night to see a fashion show of garments made by fashion students at an event created by fashion marketing students.
The venue was nice, modern and suited the circus theme quite well. The only downside to the venue is that it was a bit cramped compared to last year's event venue... (not that I'm biased or anything, because last year's event was produced by me and my colleagues from our year of Fashion Marketing!)... ;)
As I walked into the venue with my boyfriend's mum we headed to the bar first for a much needed drink!
The show was being held upstairs, so after that much needed drink we headed up there to see what was going on. The first thing the we came across was their 'Silent Auction' area, where they sell items made by the fashion students to raise extra money for their trip to Graduate Fashion Week. There were dresses, skirts, coats, bags...everything!

See that small fluffy bag on the model's hand?!....That now officially belongs to me!

It was what I treated myself to from the event! I love it! It shall be coming to a rave with me this friday!
The night was broken up by some 'swish' tricks to add a little more experience to the event and to go along with the circus theme.
The event was hosted by a circus ringmaster to keep everyone well informed with how the night will be run and what was coming up next...
Here are my images of some of the garments that could be seen on the night...
Aren't they beautiful garments?! I love the blue jacket with the brown waist belt! Very, very tempted to steal that idea!
Some lovely textures & detailing was displayed on the night, so it was lovely to see some very different designs!
Once the catwalk had finished there was a chance for attendees of the event to purchase the items they had seen on the night. All money raised from this was also going towards the Graduate Fashion Week fund for the fashion students.
The only downside was that there seemed to be a great deal less of garments to see this year compared to last year, not sure why that was, there could be a valid reason?! However, the night was still spectacular and it was visable that a lot of work had gone into the production of the garments and the night itself! The students should give themselves a pat on the back!
Hope you enjoyed looking through the images! Remember that this event is an annual event, so there will be one to look forward to next year in Northampton again. It is definately worth looking out for!
